Mock Drill

A Mock Drill was conducted in school on 28 December 2021 to check the preparedness of all students and teachers in the eventuality of an earthquake. At the sound of the first siren, students in each classrooms ducked under their desks and waited. At the sound of the next long siren, they all came out of their classrooms and according to the evacuation plan, they assembled in the open playground. They were instructed and guided by their teachers. It took just a couple of minutes for everyone to assemble in the playground. One of the PET’s then took a round of the school to check if anybody was left in any classroom.

The Mock Drill was a success as everything went according to plan.

The year 2020 has indeed been unprecedented due to the spread of Covid 19. Schools were shut down, teachers and students shifted to the online mode of education, and students wrote their various tests/exams online. With the onset of the second wave of the infection, CBSE had to finally cancel the Board Examinations, for both Class X and XII.

In such a scenario, the onus of preparing the Board Result of Classes X and XII fell on the schools, under the guidelines of the CBSE (in the form of the Tabulation Policy).

For tabulating the Board Result of Class XII, 30% component of marks was taken from the Class X Board Result of the students, 30% from their Class XI Final Result and 40% from the internal tests/exams which these students wrote in Class XII. The tabulation sheet thus generated by the CBSE Portal was then open for moderation of marks in all subjects. This was done by the Result Committee of the school, keeping to the limit imposed by the Reference Year, i.e. the best Board Performance out of the past three years.

Once the moderation was done and accepted by the CBSE, the Class XII Board Results were declared on 30th July 2021. The students performed well, with Himanshi Yadav as the topper with 94.8% marks.
