To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, our school celebrated Teacher's Day on 04 September 2025, in the Kalawati Auditorium.
The programme was organised with incredible zeal and enthusiasm by the students of classes XII A & B. The function was attended by the Chairman of the Gyan Devi Group of Schools, Managing Director Ma'am, Academic Director Ma'am, Principal, teachers and students of Classes VI to XI.
The Display Board was creatively decorated with the students' heartfelt messages for their teachers. The programme began with the lighting of the Holy Lamp. The dignitaries paid tribute to the photograph of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by offering flowers. This was followed by meditation of 'Om Krishnaya Vasudevaya ' Mantra, invoking the divine blessings. Anshika of Class X presented a speech in Hindi on the significance of Teacher's Day. Harshita of Class XII B recited a funny poem in English that poked fun at common classroom scenarios. An English song , 'In your Hands', a thank you note to the teachers, was presented by the selected singers. The girls of Class XII performed a dance on a devotional 'Guru Vandana' song. A light- hearted, fun game, ' Balance and Juggle' was enjoyed by the teachers. The programme ended with heartfelt messages of gratitude from our Ex - students, for the Management and their teachers.
The students of Class XII honoured the dignitaries and all the staff members of the school, with beautifully hand painted bookmarks and took their blessings.
Chairman Sir applauded everyone for the function. The anchors thanked Sir and all the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time to attend the function.
The next day, on 5th September 2025, the Chairman and the Managing Director of the Gyan Devi Groups of Schools, hosted a get-together of all the staff members of all 4 branches of the school, at Gyan Devi Senior Secondary School, Sector – 10.
The teachers put up a wonderful variety entertainment programme including songs, dances and fun games.
Chairman Sir then announced the names of the Best Teachers of all 4 branches of the school and honoured them with a memento and a gift hamper each.
This was followed by a sumptuous lunch which was relished by all.
While leaving, the teachers were pleasantly surprised to receive a takeaway gift box each, which was thoughtfully chosen by the host school. All the teachers left the venue in high spirits, after profusely thanking the Management for such a memorable Teacher's Day, which made them all feel valued and appreciated.
It was indeed an unforgettable experience.
