Inter House Competitions 10/07/26

To promote literary appreciation, effective communication, critical thinking, and self-confidence among students, Inter House Competitions were organised for Classes VI to VIII. The event provided students with an excellent platform to showcase their literary and oratory skills through English and Hindi competitions.

The English competition, Bookworms' Haven, featured one participant from each house, who presented a review of a book of their choice, highlighting its storyline, characters, theme, and key takeaways. The participants displayed remarkable confidence, analytical thinking, and presentation skills. Manvi of Nilgiri House secured the First Position, followed by Banee of Vindhya House in Second Position. Gatik of Himalaya House and Rishika of Aravali House shared the Third Position.

The Hindi competition, Bas Ek Minute, witnessed enthusiastic participation from two students of each house. Participants were assigned impromptu topics and given fifteen minutes to organise their thoughts before delivering a one-minute speech. The competition effectively assessed their spontaneity, presence of mind, clarity of expression, and command over the language. Vervhi of Nilgiri House secured the First Position, Saksham of Nilgiri House stood Second, and Naksh of Vindhya House bagged the Third Position.

The winners were awarded certificates by the School Principal, Ms. Sheena Yadav who congratulated the participants and appreciated their confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm. In her address, she encouraged students to cultivate the habit of reading, think independently, and express their ideas with clarity and conviction. The event concluded on an inspiring note, leaving students motivated to participate actively in such enriching competitions in the future.
