Gyan Devi Senior Secondary School celebrated International Yoga Day with great zeal and enthusiasm to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among students and staff. The programme was graced by the esteemed Chairman, Capt. J. S. Yadav, whose presence inspired everyone to embrace yoga as a way of life. The event was attended by parents, students, and staff members.
The event commenced with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, filling the surroundings with positivity and tranquillity. This was followed by a rhythmic yoga presentation by the students, who performed a series of synchronized movements with grace and precision. Ms. Savita then led the participants through Sukshma Vyayam and Tali Yoga, explaining how these practices help improve blood circulation, enhance concentration, and energise the body. Subsequently, Ms. Priyanka conducted a session on sitting asanas, including Vajrasana, Malasana, Gomukhasana etc. guiding participants through the correct techniques and highlighting their benefits for posture, flexibility, and mental relaxation. The enthusiastic participation of all present reflected their commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
Addressing the gathering, the School Chairman emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for a healthier, happier, and more balanced future. He encouraged everyone to practise yoga regularly and uphold India's rich yogic heritage.
