An Earthquake Mock Evacuation Drill was conducted in the school premises to create awareness and preparedness among students and staff for handling emergency situations during natural calamities. The objective of the drill was to train students to remain calm, responsible, and avoid panic during unforeseen circumstances.
The drill began with an alarm, during which students practised the safety procedure of “Drop, Cover and Hold.” After the alarm stopped, teachers guided students to evacuate the building according to the evacuation plan. Students successfully evacuated the premises within three minutes and assembled at the designated safe area. A headcount was conducted to ensure everyone’s safety. The drill enhanced preparedness, decision-making, and timely response during emergencies.
