A Joyous Celebration of Janmashtami and Teachers’ Day

Our school celebrated the auspicious occasions of Janmashtami and Teachers’ Day on 3rd September 2026 with immense enthusiasm, devotion, and gratitude. The celebrations beautifully brought together the spiritual essence of Lord Krishna’s timeless teachings and heartfelt appreciation for the educators who nurture, guide, and inspire young minds.

The day commenced with a vibrant cultural presentation by the students. Through soulful poetry recitations, thoughtful reflections, and melodious songs, the children beautifully portrayed the life, values, and eternal teachings of Lord Krishna while paying a heartfelt tribute to their teachers. Their enthusiastic participation created an atmosphere filled with devotion, joy, and reverence. Adding significance to the occasion, Principal Ma’am addressed the gathering, sharing her insightful thoughts and inspiring the students to imbibe and practise the noble values exemplified by Lord Krishna in their everyday lives.

The Teachers’ Day celebrations on 5th September 2026 then culminated in a grand gathering at the Shobhna Auditorium, Gyan Devi Senior Secondary School, Sector 10, where teachers from all branches of the Gyan Devi Group of Schools came together in a spirit of unity and camaraderie for a mega Teachers’ Day celebration. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of our Honourable Chairman Sir, Respected MD Ma’am, Pro Chairman Sir, and other distinguished members of the management.

The auditorium soon came alive with an enchanting blend of entertainment, laughter, and camaraderie. Showcasing their remarkable talents, the teachers themselves took centre stage with captivating musical performances, energetic dance presentations, and a hilarious skit that had the audience bursting into laughter. The excitement continued with an engaging session of Tambola, which filled the auditorium with cheerful anticipation, laughter, and friendly competition. The winners were felicitated with special gifts, adding to the excitement and festive spirit of the occasion.

The formal proceedings featured an inspiring address by the Pro Chairman Sir, who emphasised the importance of punctuality in both professional and personal life. His message highlighted how discipline and respect for time contribute significantly to personal growth as well as professional excellence.Following this, the Honourable Chairman Sir expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the entire faculty and acknowledged their unwavering dedication, hard work, and commitment. He commended the teachers for their tireless efforts in nurturing students and contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of the institution.

The presentation of the Best Teacher Trophies emerged as one of the most memorable highlights of the celebration. Instituted to recognise and honour outstanding professional contributions, the awards celebrated the dedication and excellence of deserving educators. It was a moment of immense pride for our branch when our School Coordinator, Ms. Chitra Mukherjee, was conferred with the prestigious Best Teacher Award. She was presented with the Best Teacher Trophy along with a gift cheque of ₹5,000 by the Honourable Chairman Sir and Respected Principal Ma’am, as a token of appreciation for her exemplary dedication, sincere service, and valuable contribution to the institution.

The celebration concluded on a delightful note with a sumptuous special lunch, providing the educators with a well-deserved opportunity to relax, connect, and cherish moments of fellowship with their colleagues from across the group.

As the memorable day drew to a close, the educators departed with radiant smiles, treasured memories, and a renewed sense of purpose.
