The  Annual Function of our school titled “Manikarnika - A Saga of a Queen" was held on 4th March 2023. It was a musical ballet in which all the students participated enthusiastically. Our esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Tanu Bhardwaj, an educationist with a vast experience of 19 years who is currently the in-charge of co-ordination wing of SCERT graced the event with her presence. The function started with the welcome speech delivered by the school Principal, followed by the lamp lighting by our Chief Guest and the dignitaries. Our tiny tots paid tribute to Goddess Saraswati through Saraswati Vandana which filled the atmosphere with all the positivity. The students then took us years back and acknowledged the bravery and courage of Rani Lakshmi Bai through a musical play. They put the moments of her life in view through a spectacular act. The ballet started with the most famous poetry of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan- "bundele harbolo ke muh humne suni kahani thi, khoob ladi mardani wo toh Jhansi wali Rani thi" which was recited by the narrators in a rythmic way. The pupils exhibited a synchronised Yoga performance on the rythm of 'Adiyogi'. The children introduced a new way of living through a  melodious song and then they exhibited our Indian culture through graceful folk and classical dance performance. The costumes, light design and music added an enchantment in all the performances. The speedy footworks and the impactful facial expressions left the audience enthralled.

The  students made the day memorable through their magnificent performances. The function concluded with words of praises by our eminent Chief Guest who appreciated the efforts of the students  and motivated them by her encouraging words .
